Acceptable File Types

We can accept the following file formats:

• .PDF - Press Ready Quality, Embed all fonts
• .TIF – do not use LZW compression, use Anti-Alias
• .EPS – use binary encoding
• .JPEG – Hi-resolution, maximum quality
• .BMP – Bitmap file format, use Anti-Alias

We can accept the native application files for the following programs:

• Quark Express - Include all Fonts and Images
• Adobe InDesign – Convert fonts to outlines
• Adobe Photoshop - Flatten file but be sure to retain a copy of the un -flattened file.
• Adobe Illustrator - Convert Fonts to Outlines

We can accept and convert the following file types. There are additional charges for converting these files which you can avoid by downloading and using our SimplePrep tool to create a PDF.

• Microsoft Word
• Microsoft PowerPoint
• Microsoft Publisher

We cannot accept the native file from the following applications. These files must be saved or exported as described below.

• Corel Draw – Convert all text to outlines/curves and export as Illustrator EPS
• Macromedia Freehand – Embed all images, convert text to paths, export as Illustrator 7
• Adobe PageMaker – Embed all images, convert text to outlines, export as eps with the following settings: Level 2 / CMYK / TIFF / Binary
• Macromedia Fireworks – Embed images, convert text to outlines, export as TIFF , under setup choose 300dpi and save.
