Image Resolution

« Back

For color and grayscale of halftone images should be 300 dpi (or ppi) at print size. Black and white line art or Bitmap images should be at 1200 dpi (or ppi).

Be careful when changing the size of your images as it will affect the resolution. Enlarging an image reduces the resolution. Shrinking an image increases the resolution.

Manually changing the DPI of an image does not work. To achieve the correct DPI you must manually rescan or resource the image at the correct resolution.

Low resolution images may print poorly on press. We will do our best to notify you of low resolution images but the responsibility for image resolution lies with the file creator.
